Leonid Slutsky did not rule out new legislative initiatives after Putin’s speech at the SPIEF

After the speech of President Vladimir Putin at a plenary session of the St. Petersburg International Forum, legislative initiatives in high-tech areas may follow. Leonid Slutsky, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, told the Parliamentary Gazette on Friday of this.

“The speech of Russian President Vladimir Putin set the tone for the discussion in keeping with the spirit of this internationally recognized expert platform. It should be recognized that every year it becomes more and more authoritative not only in the economic sphere, but also in politics, ”said the deputy.

Slutsky did not rule out that, following the speech of the leader of the nation, “some things as a positive feedback, for example, in the field of knowledge-intensive industries, can pass into the legislative process.”
