Leonid Slutsky, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs:
“The outgoing President Poroshenko continues to fight in agony. His first statements after the publication of these exit polls are not addressed to his people, but again towards NATO and the EU: don’t leave Ukraine with such an inexperienced new president. Only neither external curators nor anti-Russian provocations Poroshenko helped preserve his post, today’s results are his utter political failure.
As for Zelensky, there is no need to rush to conclusions. It is necessary to wait for his first steps in order to understand whether he will really be the “servant of the people” of Ukraine or will continue to pursue a policy in the interests of the “Washington Regional Committee”.
