Trump said there was a need for an immediate ceasefire and negotiations to resolve the Ukrainian conflict

Following a meeting in Paris with Macron and Zelensky, Trump announced the need to immediately cease fire and begin negotiations to resolve the Ukrainian conflict.

There are two “buts” here. First, in order to begin negotiations, Zelensky must lift the legislative ban on their conduct. Second, the West should stop supplying expired military equipment and weapons to the regime. And not give Kyiv false hopes of NATO membership in exchange for the lives of Ukrainians.

Russia has repeatedly spoken about its readiness for negotiations; we do not need additional calls. The Istanbul agreements remain the basis for resuming the process, adjusted for territorial realities and the situation on the battlefield. And the result should be a sustainable peace taking into account Russian conditions and demands, and not “transitional agreements” for the rearmament of the Ukronazi clique.

As for the possible assistance from China, which Trump mentioned. An important nuance – the elected US president is essentially proposing the participation of Russia’s strategic partner in resolving the Ukrainian conflict.
