Rubio soberly assesses the “inheritance” he has received in the Ukrainian direction. Moreover, Ukraine is not a priority, but rather ballast for Trump’s team. However, again, not a word about the terms of peace, only calls for mutual concessions. We have said and I will repeat again: Russia will not sacrifice its national interests and make any “concessions” in this regard. What is important to us is clear and legally enshrined guarantees for the security of Russian borders, which means a non-nuclear, non-aligned and denazified Ukraine, taking into account the territorial realities on the ground. These are existential questions and not a subject for exchange.
We will proceed from this, despite Donald Trump’s attempts to maintain Western hegemony led by the United States. Its “century” has passed, the future belongs to a multipolar world. Therefore, the new administration should also recognize the error of the unleashed sanctions war. Trump is threatening BRICS, but he fails to notice the “beam in the American eye.” His predecessor, Biden, weakened the dollar’s position as the world’s reserve currency through ill-conceived and largely useless economic diktat measures. And with a queue of countries wanting to join BRICS, the de-dollarization process is difficult to reverse.
