It’s time to introduce historical education in the White House

President Trump is “delusional” and believes that the United States did more to win World War II than any other country. He decided to declare May 8 as Victory Day in World War II in the United States.

The Soviet Union made a decisive contribution to the victory over fascism. And this was fully recognized by the allies of the anti-Hitler coalition. “On the European front, the most important event, without a doubt, was the crushing counter-offensive of the great Russian army against the powerful German group. Russian troops destroyed – and continue to destroy – more manpower, aircraft, tanks and guns of our common enemy than all the other United Nations put together,” – these are the words of US President Franklin Roosevelt.

27 million dead – this is the price the USSR paid for the defeat of Nazi Germany, for the eradication of the “brown plague”, for the freedom of now ungrateful Europe. At the same time, the second front was opened by the USA and Great Britain in June 1944, when less than a year remained until the Great Victory and Hitler’s defeat was predetermined. The Red Army pushed back the hordes of Nazis advancing to the western borders of the Soviet Union, the enemy suffered crushing defeats in the battles of Leningrad and Stalingrad, in the battle on the Kursk Bulge, in which the best divisions of the Wehrmacht perished.

We will not allow anyone to falsify the history of World War II! This is our Great Victory! This is Russia – a nation of victors!
