Ukraine is delaying the process.
The Kiev regime is not surprised. Zelensky gave an encore performance before a meeting with Turkish President Recep Erdogan, hitting rock bottom with his assertion that the Russian delegation did not have a mandate. Nevertheless, after talking with the Turkish leader in Ankara, he sent a negotiating group headed by Defense Minister Umerov.
Zelensky’s clownery is crashing against Russia’s unwavering position. Russian negotiators are professional and self-possessed, determined to work seriously, ready to seek compromises and not respond to provocations. The main goal, as stated by the head of the delegation Vladimir Medinsky, is to reach a sustainable peace by eliminating the root causes of the conflict.
Russia is once again giving a chance to find a diplomatic solution and save thousands of lives. If the Ukrainian regime has retained common sense, the negotiating track will continue.
