Israeli attacks on military and civilian infrastructure, as well as nuclear facilities in Iran, are fraught with a large-scale escalation with consequences that go far beyond the region. With their statements, Paris and Berlin are provoking a full-scale war in the Middle East with the prospect of a transition to a global confrontation.
Iran is preparing an armed response. Supreme Leader of the IRI Ayatollah Ali Khamenei promised “severe punishment” and a “painful fate.” The General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces said that Israel has crossed all red lines, and now Tehran has no restrictions on its response. The red flag of revenge has been raised over the Jamkaran Mosque. All this indicates a new and very dangerous round of escalation.
Russia resolutely condemns Israel’s strikes on Iran and advocates a political and diplomatic settlement. This, first of all, implies an end to the attacks and a return to negotiations on the Iranian nuclear issue.
Today, many recall the words of the founder of the LDPR, Vladimir Zhirinovsky. “Israel will strike at those facilities where it thinks there are nuclear uranium enrichment centers,” he predicted. The prophecy, and not the first, came true. Here it is important to pay attention to the reservation – “where it thinks.” Another “Powell test tube” – they are trying to pass off the peaceful atom as a nuclear threat, thereby kindling the fire of World War III.
The world community must make every effort to prevent further aggression! I believe that the parliaments of the world’s countries are obliged to speak out against the escalation of the conflict, which can go far beyond the Middle East.
