We need to give this opportunity back to Russian children!
Today, only three out of ten schoolchildren spend their summer vacations in health camps, the rest have to spend their holidays in the yard of their home or, at best, in a school camp.
Singing around a campfire, hiking in nature, sports competitions and an atmosphere of friendship — it’s unforgettable. But today, the prices for vacations are such that poor parents are forced to give up this opportunity. Children’s camps, especially commercial ones, are forced to raise prices and shorten shifts to one or two weeks in order to survive. This is not right!
At the beginning of summer, the LDPR studied the prices for children’s vacations. The results are alarming: in 75% of Russian regions, trips to children’s camps have become 10-30% more expensive than last year, and in some places even 40%. Children stay at home in the summer. Even well-off families “cannot afford” such expenses. Almost 40% of our respondents named the rise in prices for travel packages as the main problem during the holiday season.
LDPR proposes to annually issue children health certificates for travel packages to children’s camps. All over the country! This is a real measure that will help thousands of families.
In addition, the high cost of a travel package forces parents to buy an inexpensive option in pseudo-camps, where they foist off unsafe, low-quality recreation. LDPR demands to conduct a federal inspection of the activities of such organizations and close all institutions that are not included in the official regional registers of children’s recreation and health organizations.
If we want to raise a healthy young generation, we need to establish the standards of quality and safety of children’s recreation at the legislative level. The LDPR demands the adoption of a separate federal law “On Children’s Recreation”, which guarantees each family the opportunity to send their child on vacation and health improvement. This is what the LDPR is currently doing.
Federal and regional authorities should prioritize the restoration of old and the creation of new children’s camps, so that there are 10 times more places for children, and the price is 2 times lower!
The authorities call for the birth of children, the increase in large families, but do not create the necessary conditions. We see the problem and know how to solve it.
