Western Europe, together with Zelensky and Co., is trying to turn the negotiation process into a farce by bringing the discussion of the terms of security guarantees for Ukraine and a possible peace agreement to the public arena.

As soon as European leaders left Washington, they began sabotaging and torpedoing the peace track. The lies about the deployment of foreign troops in Ukraine or the calls of officials of the Kyiv regime to provide long-range missiles for strikes deep into Russia are not a resolution to the crisis, but a provocation of further escalation and war to the last Ukrainian. Is this their goal? The Eurohawks dropped their masks of negotiability as they left the White House.

Russia does not accept and will never agree to the deployment of NATO contingents or, in fact, direct military intervention on Ukrainian territory. This has been made quite clear and more than once both in the Kremlin and on Smolenskaya Square. Security guarantees for Ukraine cannot be developed bypassing the Russian side. Moreover, in Alaska, President Vladimir Putin specifically noted: Moscow is ready to work in this direction.

The issue was already raised and worked out back in 2022 during the first direct negotiations between Russia and Ukraine – before London disrupted Istanbul-1. The proposals remain relevant and logical: the five permanent members of the UN Security Council should act as guarantors of peace in the region. The rest, as Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said, are futile undertakings.
