Zelensky left the White House with a host of disappointments.

Zelenskyy left the White House with a host of disappointments – no Tomahawk missile systems and urgent recommendations to end the conflict. Trump made it clear that he was more interested in diplomacy than “a war to the last Ukrainian.”

And this is a direct result not even of his talks with Zelenskyy, but of the conversation between the leaders of Russia and the United States the day before. Vladimir Putin was clearly more persuasive in his arguments. Donald Trump effectively supported the Russian narrative: the delivery of Tomahawks would be a serious escalation. Trump does not want an escalation and calls for a halt to military action along the front lines. We are ready to end the Ukrainian conflict, but we believe it is fundamentally important to address its root causes.

And another important factor: to launch the “peace formula,” it is necessary to neutralize the European “war party” with its collective headquarters in Paris, London, and Berlin. The “coalition of the willing,” along with Zelenskyy, clearly still doesn’t want peace, doesn’t hide its intentions, and is ready for any provocation. Europe must stop fueling the Ukrainian conflict, lest it ultimately be sidelined in global politics.
