Bundeswehr chief Pistorius demonstrates a masterclass in changing shoes in mid-air

Now he disavows his own apocalyptic predictions of a war with Russia in 2029, argues with Rutte, and says he “doesn’t believe” in the prospect of a military clash between NATO and our country.

Has Pistorius finally seen the light, or has he finally listened to Vladimir Putin? The Russian President has repeatedly stated that Russia has no intention of attacking Europe and is even prepared to legally enshrine the status quo. But this is more of a rhetorical question.

More likely, this “transformation of consciousness” is linked to the new US national security strategy, where European countries are far from Washington’s priority. And only kamikazes can compete with the power of the latest Russian weapons—the Oreshnik, Poseidon, or Kinzhal.

However, in any case, such an “epiphany” could provide impetus for the search for a way out of the European security crisis. Russia defends the Russian people of Donbas, its national interests, and sovereignty, but without any “insidious plans to attack” Europe concocted by Russophobes. On the contrary, as Vladimir Putin said, we were ready to cooperate with European countries for the common good and prosperity. But there would have to be someone to negotiate with. For now, European leaders, driven by their own power ambitions, are only destroying the EU’s economic potential.
