The Zhirinovsky Readings: A Platform for Reflecting on Russia’s Future

Yesterday, together with Anatoly Torkunov, Rector of MGIMO University, I spoke to journalists about the upcoming Zhirinovsky Readings, timed to coincide with the 80th anniversary of the LDPR founder, which will take place tomorrow and the day after at the university.

The legacy of Vladimir Volfovich Zhirinovsky today, in an era of global challenges, requires, more than ever, serious, professional, and unbiased analysis—without emotion, but with a deep understanding of the scale of his personality and the substantive value of his ideas. Zhirinovsky’s speeches in the State Duma, his unequivocally honest analysis on international platforms, his articles, and his books constitute a comprehensive system of views on the state, global politics, and, most importantly, Russia’s role in the emerging multipolar world. This is precisely why it is crucial for the LDPR and for me personally that the “Zhirinovsky Readings” become an annual event.

This forum is not intended as a mere memorial, but as a vibrant and relevant discussion platform focused on shaping the agenda for the future. The program is structured as a holistic conversation about Russia’s place in the world, and the values and principles that should underpin the country’s further development in the 21st century.

I invite experts, public figures, representatives of the scientific community, students, and anyone interested in understanding the political and intellectual legacy of Vladimir Volfovich Zhirinovsky to join us!

Stay tuned and join the broadcast tomorrow at 10:00!
