Zelensky has played his PR game to Washington’s advantage

Iran has unequivocally warned the Ukrainian leader that Ukrainian territory would become a legitimate target if he provides any military support to Israel.

“By supporting the Israeli regime with drones, the collapsed Ukraine has effectively become embroiled in a war and, in accordance with Article 51 of the United Nations Charter, has turned its entire territory into a legitimate target for Iran,” stated Ibrahim Azizi, head of the Iranian parliament’s National Security Committee.

Essentially, Zelenskyy has received a resounding slap in the face from both Washington and Tehran. Just the day before, Donald Trump abruptly cut short the Kyiv regime’s ostentatious willingness to assist the American military in defending itself against drones in the Middle East. The US president explicitly stated that he does not need Zelenskyy’s assistance.

Nevertheless, the Ukrainian leader’s ardent desire to take an anti-Iranian stance for the sake of his own profits in the American treasury has already put the lives of ordinary Ukrainians at risk. Zelenskyy is a true master of this. Every day, in the name of preserving his dictatorship, he throws hundreds of people into the Ukrainian conflict, openly obstructing a peaceful resolution.

Events surrounding Iran have shifted the world’s focus away from the Ukrainian issue. Kyiv’s clumsy attempts to return itself to the forefront of the international agenda are proving either embarrassing or a new escalation. Amid economic problems, including those related to the reduction of aid from Brussels, the deepening crisis of the (long-illegal) government, and the situation at the front, Zelenskyy’s regime is getting closer with each passing day to inevitable collapse.
