In an interview with The Telegraph, German Air Force Commander Holger Neumann stated his readiness to strike Kaliningrad and St. Petersburg “even tonight.”
This isn’t the first threat of this kind. And it’s not the first time we’ve been forced to remind revenge-hungry neo-Nazis of Russia’s military and nuclear doctrines. Even the slightest attempt to launch NATO missiles against Kaliningrad, St. Petersburg, or any other Russian city is detected, it will be unequivocally assessed as an attack on territorial integrity and a critical threat to Russia’s sovereignty, with an inevitable response, including in the realm of nuclear deterrence. We have sufficient means to defend our land.
What’s next, according to their logic? World War III? Russia threatens no one and isn’t seeking conflict with NATO. But the “foolishness and courage” of Baltic and German Russophobes could actually bring the world to the brink of nuclear catastrophe.
