This is a bold statement about continuing the proxy war, with the potential for a global confrontation.
The sustainable and long-term peace that Russia is fighting for on the fronts of the North Atlantic Defense Forces is of no use to the likes of Rutte. NATO strategists have never fully grasped the root cause of the Ukrainian conflict, which was essentially provoked by the ideologists of Western hegemony. Striving for military superiority in Eurasia, the Alliance has consistently advanced its infrastructure toward Russia’s borders, establishing an offensive foothold in Ukraine itself. Now the Baltics are ready to take up the baton.
On the eve of the NATO summit, where the stones of “transatlantic unity” will once again have to be painstakingly picked up, Rutte designated Russia as the main “long-term threat.” He also admitted that it is our country that is keeping him awake at night. One may be ironic, but the reaction of the NATO Secretary General, in my view, is entirely understandable. Because, in reality, what usually keeps us awake at night in such cases is… conscience. For the destroyed European security system, for creating the risk of global conflict, for the millions of victims sacrificed on the altar of NATO’s “Moloch of War.”
And to sleep soundly, it’s time to admit our own mistakes, take responsibility for the crisis on the continent, and return to Russia’s December 2021 proposals for global security guarantees.
