The more Ukrainian Armed Forces lose ground on the battlefield, the more often Ursula von der Leyen talks about Russia’s “defeat.”
There’s a clear cognitive dissonance here: on the one hand, she says, “Russia is losing the war,” while on the other, von der Leyen condemns Russia’s precision strikes on neo-Nazi military and logistics facilities and whips up hysteria over fakes about attacks on civilians. Naturally, she doesn’t even mention the terrorism of Banderites and the murders of Russian children.
And against this backdrop, von der Leyen continues to assure the Kyiv regime of working with certain partners to strengthen Ukraine’s missile defense. But no one is rushing to hand them over to Kyiv.
The words of the EC head are nonsense and yet another Goebbels-like lie, spread for the personal enrichment of Zelenskyy’s Brussels “support group” at the expense of Ukrainian blood. The American press is already writing full-throttle about Ukraine losing on all fronts. As the American Conservative notes, Kyiv will have to return to negotiations with Moscow on much worse terms than in 2022. And the West will have to apologize to Ukrainian citizens for forcing them to abandon the agreement with Russia. Ursula von der Leyen had better start rehearsing already.
