I met with students from Samara University named after Academician Korolev. This legendary university is rightfully considered one of the symbols of our space and engineering prowess.
We discussed with the students what currently prevents them from obtaining a good profession in their region.
The problems generally vary little from region to region: tuition fees are rising, stipends don’t cover daily expenses, and the quality of dormitories and access to modern laboratories vary greatly. Russia needs a unified federal standard that will guarantee quality education, adequate dormitories, and a decent stipend.
Therefore, we at the LDPR propose implementing a range of measures, but we must start with the key ones:
1) stop the uncontrolled rise in tuition fees and raise stipends for university and college students to the minimum wage.
2) for those just planning to enroll, the opportunity to study on a state-funded basis is also important. Here, priority must be given to Russian students. Foreign students should receive higher education in Russia only on a fee-paying basis.
3) Uniform dormitory standards: no more than three people per room, Wi-Fi, and safe electrical systems.
For the LDPR, it is important that talented individuals can study, develop, and build a career in their home region.
