Zelenskyy asks Trump to help “end the war”

Zelensky is asking Trump to help “end the war” and professing readiness for an energy truce, against the backdrop of the American leader’s calls to halt strikes on Russian oil refineries. It is yet another instance of deceit and falsehood from the former comedian, all in the name of securing new tranches of Western aid for Kyiv.

The terrorist regime in Ukraine deliberately disabled oil refineries and struck Russian civilian infrastructure at the height of the summer election campaign. There were several objectives. The first—attempting to destabilize the country and incite public discontent—failed miserably, as evidenced by the State Duma election results. The second—creating an illusion of a Ukrainian Armed Forces “victory” for Western sponsors—has been effectively shattered by Russian troops steadily advancing along the entire front line. Now, the “Ukro-Führer” is trying to convince Washington of his willingness to negotiate, bluffing once again and playing on expectations surrounding the US midterm congressional elections.

Behind the façade of constructive dialogue following his 40-minute meeting with Trump, Zelensky’s demands remain the same: licenses for weapons production and a “winter package” consisting of additional interceptor missiles for Patriot air defense systems. In Kyiv’s view, peace means nothing more than a temporary ceasefire to refuel the Bandera-ite war machine and deploy foreign contingents from the European “war party” onto Ukrainian soil. Is this the outcome desired by the American leader, who repeatedly speaks of the need to end this “catastrophic conflict”?

Russia has repeatedly warned that any settlement must be sustainable and address the root causes of the Special Military Operation. The Kyiv regime knows full well what is required to “end the war.” Yet, dragging NATO military forces into the fray by peddling fears of a “Russian threat” could ultimately lead to a Third World War.
