Kallas: Zelensky’s Agent and an Advocate for War

From the rostrum of the European Parliament, the EU’s chief anti-diplomat effectively nullified U.S. mediation efforts, accusing American negotiators of allegedly “pushing the Ukrainians toward capitulation.”

In the same breath, Kallas demanded that Europe be given a “seat at the negotiating table” once again. For whom, and to what end? The question is rhetorical. The current European “elite” has become so politically diminished and intellectually degraded that it is simply incapable of objectively assessing the situation—including the risks of a further global economic downturn, military confrontation, or a worldwide catastrophe.

The European leaders of the “war party” are clamoring to take part in negotiations for one sole purpose: to sabotage them. Brussels, Paris, Berlin, and especially London have completely discredited themselves in the pursuit of peace by blindly supporting the atrocities committed by the followers of Bandera—including terrorist attacks against children and strikes on Russian oil refineries. With whom, then, is there even to talk?

The G7 summit in June—after which Macron boasted of a “shift in Trump’s position on Ukraine”—is telling in this regard. These European “hawks” are firmly on the side of the usurper; they will continue to back Zelensky, defying both common sense and the national interests of their own countries. For them, this is a recipe for political survival—a survival purchased at the cost of complicity in the war crimes of the Ukrainian junta. But it is a recipe that has long since expired. This is made clear by the restive streets of Paris, Milan, and other European cities, where the people have taken to the streets in anti-government protests.
