It never ceases to amaze the audacity with which a number of countries, especially among the “Young Europeans”, continue to interfere in the internal affairs of Belarus. Svetlana Tikhanovskaya can quite successfully claim the laurels of Juan Guaido in Eastern Europe, touring foreign capitals and opening “representations of the Belarusian people,” which, by the way, refused her support in the 2020 elections.
And all this is happening against the background of very specific testimonies of the opposition blogger Roman Protasevich, where he admits that he was an intermediary between the conspirators who were preparing the forceful seizure of power in Belarus and the headquarters of Tikhanovskaya. Remember also how President Lukashenko talked about new attempts at his physical elimination and a coup d’etat in the country, which, according to the Belarusian special services, was financed from abroad. The Belarusian leader laid the responsibility on the United States. The evidence base is already more than serious. It would seem, what kind of political career and support for Tikhanovskaya can we talk about? But everything is like water off a duck’s back. In the West, they prefer not to notice this, but to distract attention to all events in Belarus by launching provocations in a highly likely style, as was the case in the Czech Republic.
The collective West does not give up hope of imposing a change of course on Belarus by bringing a puppet leader to power. For the eighth year now we have been observing how such methods threaten with the example of Ukraine, which came under external control through nationalists, Russophobes and radicals. It is unlikely that Minsk will agree to the same scenario.”
