Leonid Slutsky: “Happy Tatyana’s Day, Student’s Day!”

This holiday in Russia has a centuries-old history. On January 25, 1755, Empress Elizaveta Petrovna signed a decree “On the Establishment of Moscow University”, and it became all-Russian under Emperor Nicholas I, who ordered that January 25 be celebrated as the day of all higher educational institutions in the country.

Student life is a great time. Being the president of the Faculty of World Politics of Moscow State University and every time I communicate with young people within the walls of Moscow University, I am pleasantly surprised how sincere, creative, talented and active the current students are.

I wish you all an easy study, successful sessions without “tails”, new horizons. Learn, persevere, don’t give up! All doors are open for you!”
