In Odessa, they began to dismantle the monument to Empress Catherine II, by whose order this city was founded and whose spirit it was imbued with for centuries. At the end of November, such a decision was made by the Odessa City Council. True, the deputies did not follow the path of their colleagues from the Baltic states – the monument will not be destroyed, but it seems that it has only been moved.
But there isn’t much difference. This war of the Kyiv regime with monuments to those to whom Ukraine, in fact, owes its existence, looks both comical and tragic. “Ivans who do not remember kinship” and brought the situation to the point in which Russia was forced to launch a special military operation.
But history cannot be killed, just like the truth. The monument to Catherine II will definitely return to its rightful place, and, I am sure, very soon. And the leaders of the Kyiv junta will be court-martialed for all their crimes.
