Artur Nikolaevich was a deputy of the State Duma of seven convocations, starting with the first, and also represented the Tula region in the Federation Council. People like him are said to be “legendary men.” Chilingarov made a huge contribution to the development of Russian science, and to the processes of development and conquest of the Arctic and Antarctic, and to the formation of parliamentarism. He will forever remain an example of courage, unprecedented dedication and endless optimism.
