But this did not change the essence: there is a fact of indiscriminate aggression against a sovereign state. Civilians are dying from missile strikes – the number of victims has already exceeded 1,700 people, residential areas and social infrastructure are being destroyed.
The situation against the backdrop of the escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli confrontation is becoming increasingly dangerous and uncontrollable. The regional “cauldron” is on the verge of an explosion – the pressure in it has exceeded the red mark after the terrorist attack organized by Tel Aviv with the explosions of pagers and the murder of the leader of Hezbollah Hassan Nasrallah. The Israeli military operation on the territory of Lebanon adds fuel to the fire of the Middle East conflict and throws back the process of Middle East settlement.
The international community must act as a united front and put pressure on Tel Aviv to stop hostilities, political assassinations and bloodshed among the civilian population. It is necessary to give the UN Security Council the opportunity to implement its mandate and prevent the development of events according to the most negative scenario, up to the beginning of the Third World War.
