Convincingly, calmly, with reason – the President gave our citizens and the whole world a clear signal: Russia is confident in its rightness and in its Victory. And it is no coincidence that the whole hall met with standing applause the words of Vladimir Putin, where he recalled the significance of the connection of times for Russian statehood with a quote from Pyotr Stolypin: “In the defense of Russia, we all must unite, coordinate our efforts, our duties and our rights to maintain one historical supreme right Russia’s right to be strong.”
It is precisely this right that the collective West is systematically trying to deprive Russia of – cynically and hypocritically, resorting to lies and double standards. “The elites of the West do not hide their goals – to inflict on Russia, as they say, this is a direct speech, a strategic defeat of Russia,” Putin warned.
And here the decision to suspend Russia’s participation in START-3 is the only possible and adequate one. Washington does not hide the fact that a geopolitical battle with Russia is going on in Ukraine. The Kiev neo-Nazi regime is arming itself with the latest types of long-range weapons, but at the same time, as Vladimir Putin put it, the Americans are “climbing our nuclear facilities” with their inspections.
The suspension of participation in START is not a security threat, but rather another important signal to the collective West. Nuclear powers don’t lose wars. And it is important for our Western partners to understand this.
In the event that a relevant bill is introduced, the State Duma Committee on International Affairs is ready to recommend and prepare it for consideration at the plenary session of the chamber as soon as possible. I have no doubt that he will receive unanimous support.
And I would also like to draw attention to a very important postulate of the message to the Federal Assembly. The President directly urged to remove any interdepartmental contradictions, grievances, disagreements, as well as “other nonsense” that hinders the achievement of results in the development of the economy. I am sure that this approach is in demand in all other areas of our life. That is why the Liberal Democratic Party issued an appeal to various political forces to unite their efforts in a difficult time for the country, to push inter-party differences into the background, to fight together shoulder to shoulder for our Victory. I repeat – today there can be only one party for all of us – the Victory Party.
The West, with its plans to inflict a “strategic defeat” on Russia, is in for a severe disappointment. Our society is united in supporting the President, Russia will not only endure, but will inevitably win, exercising its supreme right to “be strong”.
