A well-considered, adequate and the only possible solution in case of repeated violations by the American side of START-3 – both the preamble of the Treaty and its central provisions. The decision is also more than timely in the context of the actual involvement in the conflict in Ukraine of the United States and its allies in the NATO bloc – France and Great Britain, which have nuclear potentials. They proclaim the need for a “strategic defeat of Russia”, arm the Kiev regime, supply neo-Nazis with intelligence and have the audacity to demand the resumption of inspections at Russian defense facilities, including the latest ones. Despite the fact that the Russian side is deprived of such a right. Indeed, as President Vladimir Putin said, this is a theater of the absurd.
The collective West deliberately went to the extreme degree of degradation of relations with Russia. And, of course, the circumstances today are completely different compared to those that existed at the time the START was signed. Doing business with the US and the West in general as usual is no longer possible, both in principle and in relation to the field of arms control, which is inseparable from geopolitics.
But once again I draw your attention: Russia is not withdrawing from the Treaty, we are suspending our participation! The decision is reversible and can be revised if our Western opponents come to their senses and realize their responsibility for the destruction of the global security system.
