Another example of such a tragedy occurred in Khabarovsk. Due to the fault of migrants and violation of construction rules, the Khabarovsk Regional Musical Theater burned down. For Khabarovsk residents, it was a symbol of the city, its cultural heart. The Investigative Committee confirmed that the repairs were carried out by foreign workers. An investigation is underway into the legality of their presence in the country.
Last week, the LDPR supported a bill to toughen penalties for organizing illegal migration. Anyone who organizes their transfer to Russia, provides them with work and documents should be in prison. And in the case of other crimes committed by migrants, assistance to them should be classified as the most aggravating circumstances.
Our deputies in the Khabarovsk Territory will take special control of the investigation. We will seek to bring to justice not only the workers, but also the management of the contractor and those who attracted migrants to work.
Today it was not the theatre that burned down, today the history of Khabarovsk burned down in the fire of negligence and indifference. We cannot allow such a tragedy to happen again. We need to cleanse Russia of illegals.
