A large-scale federal project for the modernization of housing and communal services is needed

Too many disasters in housing and communal services have happened in recent weeks. People are freezing in their apartments, heating is being turned off in social and medical institutions. This is an unacceptable situation for modern Russia.
Housing and communal services networks are worn out by 60-70%, in some regions it reaches 100%. We need to stop relying on the Soviet legacy. At the same time, officials report in detail on their readiness for the heating season.

The regions obviously cannot cope with the situation on their own, even by attracting business and giving out the infrastructure for maintenance in the form of a concession. People pay on time, the cost of services increases every year, but the quality does not. Resource supply organizations and other service providers issue invoices promptly and charge fines. The high deterioration of networks also limits economic development, preventing investors and developers from entering the region.

During the spring session of the State Duma, the LDPR will make legislative and other proposals to solve problems in the housing and communal services sector. We believe that it is necessary to organize a full inventory of housing and communal services networks in the regions, after which to develop a large-scale infrastructure modernization program and prioritize budget funds to provide public services. People in the 21st century should not freeze.
