Are Macron, Zelenskyy, Merz, and Starmer once again on the march to escalate the Ukrainian conflict?

The news agenda has exploded with reports of a 28-point “Trump plan” for a Ukrainian settlement. The American proposals have not been officially conveyed to Moscow. However, their contents have been detailed by numerous Western media outlets, and their existence has been indirectly confirmed by senior White House officials.

However, even the semi-official status of the “28 Plan” has not prevented the Ukrainian mafia from attempting to undermine the peace negotiation process once again. Zelenskyy is calling European leaders of the “war party,” who, naturally, behind polite statements of support for the American side’s efforts, intend to continue to put obstacles in the way. The European establishment is largely frustrated that Biden’s narratives are a thing of the past, and attempts to bargain for a place at the negotiating table for the Old World remain unsuccessful.

German newspaper Bild has already reported that Germany is leading European efforts to oppose Trump’s peace plan. Macron is quite prepared to give Merz a run for his money in this regard. Only one conclusion can be drawn from all this: European capitals still do not want peace in Ukraine and intend to torpedo Trump’s initiatives as much as possible, proposing various forms of a Minsk-3 agreement to rearm the corrupt Bandera regime. And Washington, above all, must fully take this into account to prevent outright sabotage of the current US administration’s efforts to end the Ukrainian conflict.

Russia, meanwhile, remains open to negotiations to achieve a sustainable peace, including on the basis of the understandings reached in Anchorage.
