As part of the visit, Havana will host the first meeting of the Commission for Cooperation between the State Duma and the National Assembly of People’s Power. The agenda includes issues of legislative support for the financial and investment spheres, development of energy, education, agriculture and tourism.
Bilateral meetings with the Cuban leadership are also planned. In particular, negotiations between Viacheslav Volodin and Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez have already taken place.
The visit is of paramount importance for strengthening Russian-Cuban inter-parliamentary ties, as well as cooperation between Moscow and Havana as a whole.
