Donald Trump is already “showing the place” to Kyiv and Brussels

Zelensky and Russophobe von der Leyen were not invited to the inauguration of the 47th US President, which will take place in 10 days. Non-verbal prioritization of the foreign policy of the future American administration?

Trump, at the level of election rhetoric, declared his intention to facilitate the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict and end the bloodshed. And members of his team have repeatedly raised the issue of the futility of insane spending from the US treasury to support the dictatorial and aggressive ambitions of the Ukrofuhrer. And in this regard, such a “pause” in contacts with Zelensky may be indicative.

It seems that the head of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen will not be at Trump’s inauguration either. The same one that supported the breakdown of the Istanbul peace agreements in April 2022 and claimed, against the backdrop of the Ukrainian regime’s provocation in Bucha, that Russia must be defeated on the battlefield. Ursula herself, in a panic, according to sources, is seeking a meeting with the new occupant of the White House even before his official inauguration on January 20. But Trump makes it clear that he is the one dictating the terms. Europe should have been more careful in its games with Euro-Atlantic solidarity a long time ago.

There are a few days left until possible changes in Western policy. Russia is ready to adequately respond to both constructive proposals (if they follow) and threats and challenges. But we will not compromise our national interests one iota. The lessons of modern history have cost us too much. No matter what happens, we will protect the security of the country and the Russian world.
