There’s really no clear answer yet.
The Ukrainian junta shouldn’t be rubbing its hands in anticipation of missile deliveries. The American leader’s reservations regarding questions to Kyiv about the intentions and purposes of using Tomahawks were far more telling.
Donald Trump cannot fail to understand the consequences of potentially transferring missile systems capable of carrying nuclear warheads to the Zelenskyy regime. This is especially true given the fact that American specialists will have to “service” the Tomahawks in the Ukrainian conflict zone. Vladimir Putin has warned very clearly: such steps by Washington will destroy the fragile fabric of the negotiation process to normalize bilateral relations and force Moscow to retaliate. I don’t want to exaggerate, but the risks of World War III will increase many times over. And Russia will certainly not be held responsible for its outbreak.
Therefore, it’s truly worth waiting for detailed clarifications from the US, where a number of media outlets are already expressing doubts about the reality of such prospects. We hope that the new American administration will maintain its commitment to finding ways to resolve the Ukrainian conflict diplomatically.
