EU in panic over Trump’s decision to impose protective tariffs

In Germany, they are declaring an “economic catastrophe”; in Spain, a return to the 19th century; and in France and Great Britain, they are threatening to respond.

European elites are predicting economic losses and a decline in national GDP. But no one is analyzing the reasons. The economies of European countries have been undermined by years of Euro-Atlantic solidarity and its direct consequence – the anti-Russian course. The Germans, in particular, could now feel much more stable if they had not refused to cooperate with Russia and had not imposed sanctions against our country in a collective hysteria.

But if Trump’s trade war was a shock for Europe, for Russia it was a confirmation of the correctness of the course towards economic and technological sovereignty. The boomerang has a way of returning.
