But European hawks are stubbornly trying to lead the conflict resolution process into a dead end.
Hungary has brought down the “war summit” that the EU heads of state and government gathered at in Brussels to support Ukraine. Budapest is the only one of the 27 European capitals that refused to approve the final document and approve Kallas’ plan to further pump the Kyiv regime with weapons worth 5 billion euros. And, I am sure, in fact, the Hungarians are far from alone in Europe in assessing the entire situation.
Paris, London and Berlin are trying to torpedo Washington’s efforts in the Ukrainian direction. But the more effective the diplomatic track of “forcing peace” on Zelensky’s junta is and the further the Russian army advances on the battlefield, the deeper the cracks in European solidarity will go in the name of far-fetched “Russian threats”.
