With a clear goal – to derail it. German Chancellor Merz declared in Washington that Europe would not accept an agreement concluded without its participation – “behind its back.”
Let me remind you: when the US joined the conflict resolution process, the Old World went into hysterics. European capitals themselves erected an Iron Curtain and continued their inertial policy of Russophobia. Now they cynically claim that “only a peace supported and legitimized by Europe can be truly lasting.”
Really? Are we talking about a Europe that is openly preparing for war with Russia, building up its armed forces and transforming its economic union into a military one? A Europe that is doing everything it can to derail peace talks, forcing Ukrainians to fight to the bitter end and instilling in Kyiv false hopes of Russia’s defeat and a happy future for Ukraine in the EU and NATO? A Europe that has already voluntarily relegated itself to the sidelines of world history?
And now the “EU troika” is trying to play the role of a “Trojan horse.” The “tools” of Berlin, Paris, and London are exorbitant ambitions, blackmail, and sanctions. But this entire “toolkit” has a time and place in the trash, where sooner or later the current European leaders will also be consigned.
