For a breakthrough, Russia needs wings!

In August, we celebrate two professional holidays at once for people whose lives and activities are connected with the development, production, testing and repair of aviation equipment – the Day of the Russian Air Fleet and the Day of the Aircraft Builder.

For too long we have forgotten about the achievements of the Russian aviation industry, multiplying the profits of Western corporations. The Liberal Democratic Party has repeatedly pointed out the destructiveness of these practices, which was shown last year. Now we are resolving the situation with operational and comprehensive programs for the development of the domestic aircraft industry. I am sure that the industry will be revived in the shortest possible time.

My fellow party members and I were in Ulyanovsk on the flagship of the Russian aircraft industry, the Aviastar aircraft building plant, which employs 10,000 people. It is impossible to convey in words the power that we saw.
On the eve of the holiday, veteran aircraft builders of Aviastar approached us with a proposal to name the next IL-76, which will be put into operation from the plant’s workshops, after the general director of the Ulyanovsk Aviation Industrial Complex, Fen Zagidovich Abdullin. Under him, the legendary An-124 Ruslan was created.

The Liberal Democratic Party also has its own proposal. Reconstruct the Ulyanovsk Museum of the History of Civil Aviation. Now the exhibits are located in the open air, there is no way to make the museum interactive, understandable to younger generations.
Russia needs a modern aviation museum, to which children and parents will come, which the whole country will be proud of.
We will send both proposals to the United Aircraft Corporation.
