Berlin police banned the display of Great Victory paraphernalia, as well as the performance of songs and marches of the war years, during the celebrations on May 8 and 9.
Blasphemy and impudence are direct echoes of ordinary fascism. The proxy war of the West with Russia in Ukraine, I repeat again, is cynically used by the German authorities at various levels to belittle the role of the Soviet soldier in the victory over German Nazism. Even the “St. George ribbon” is seen as a threat.
This is not the first time in Berlin that they are trying to retouch the memory of the victims of the genocide of the Soviet people by Nazi Germany. More than 27 million citizens of the USSR died from the brown plague and gave their lives for the liberation of Europe. War against monuments and symbols of Victory is not only a sign of moral degradation and weakness, but also a path to the rehabilitation of Nazism.
Western Europe should not forget the lessons of the bloodiest war in human history.
