To give solidity to their operational data, the US Ambassador to NATO, Julianne Smith, announced China’s involvement in these plans. According to her, “there is no doubt” that Moscow and Beijing “working to divide the transatlantic partners” and exchanging some anti-NATO “instruments”.
For the collapse of NATO, neither Russia nor China need to try. Everyone no longer remembers how French President Macron spoke about the brain death of the Alliance. But in many ways he was right. If it weren’t for the thoughtless policy of NATO expansion to the East, if it weren’t for the deliberate separation of the two fraternal peoples from outside, if it weren’t for the “anti-Russia” project in Ukraine, there would be no trace of today’s crisis.
The alliance has every chance of falling apart from within. Even in the authoritative American press recently they started talking about the US withdrawal from NATO as the most effective way end the Ukrainian conflict. And in Europe, I am sure, one cannot avoid indigestion from the increasingly rotten American hegemony.
