It is necessary to freeze the recycling collection until April 1, 2024

As part of the All-Russian citizen survey “Tell Slutsky the truth!” To date, we have received 1,611 requests for recycling collection. Thousands of families who bought cars in the EAEU countries suffered from increased recycling fees for individuals. For example, Grigory from Astrakhan writes that he was obliged to pay 840 thousand instead of 3,400 rubles. He hasn’t been able to use his car for several months now and has no money to pay for it. The Solovyov family from Belgorod said that they paid less for the car than the recycling fee established by the new rules. And such requests for help come from all over the country.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade had already introduced preferential rules for paying the fee, but many simply did not have time to complete customs documents on time. People who find themselves hostage to increased tariffs need to be helped; they are not to blame for this situation.

I approached the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Vladimirovich Mishustin, with a proposal to levy a tax according to the old rules on cars purchased before April 1, 2024. We need to give people the opportunity to complete their car purchases without unnecessary financial losses.
