We in the Liberal Democratic Party have always advocated a tougher migration policy and have now prepared another bill prohibiting the acquisition of citizenship of the Russian Federation by people with a criminal record or with numerous administrative offenses.
If a person has broken the law, let his native country deal with his rehabilitation and return to society, we do not need such imports. Our citizens must be confident in their safety. It is important to exclude from the number of applicants for citizenship of the Russian Federation persons who may become defendants in new criminal and administrative cases. Especially on “serious” articles: in relation to children, the elderly, combat veterans.
Being a citizen of Russia is a privilege, it must be earned by work, valor, love and reverent attitude towards the country. Over 7.5 million migrants came to Russia in the first half of 2023. Stop handing out citizenship to those who come to engage in crime.
We are hospitable people, we respect guests, we treat with understanding. Do you want to provide for your family at the expense of our economy? We will help, we will give a job, but on our terms.
