Lavrov’s speech is a powerful presentation of the new Concept of Russia’s foreign policy at the world level

Have the statements of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov in the UN Security Council become a sensation? Correspondents ask me a question. Lavrov’s speech, in my opinion, is rather a powerful presentation of the new Concept of Russia’s foreign policy at the world level.

In fact, the head of the Russian delegation outlined the contours of a multipolar world architecture. Those are the contours to which the majority of humanity is striving, and which the collective West has so diligently ignored all the years since the end of the Cold War.

Indeed, no one gave the US and its satellites the right to speak on behalf of the international community, no one agreed to “dance to their tune” and live according to the rules invented and approved exclusively by the “golden billion”. But instead of “behaving decently,” Washington more than once or twice formed coalitions of NATO countries to invade the territories of sovereign states in order to change governments that they did not like, fueled and provoked the so-called “color revolutions”, bringing in regimes controlled by the West, tried to to dictate their will to others through illegal economic sanctions.

The United States’ global ambitions have been and continue to be hampered by the UN and its Charter. That is why Washington is diligently trying to subdue and subjugate the United Nations to its interests, heading towards undermining the foundations of interstate cooperation. But no, it won’t! And here the call of the Russian side to speed up the reform of the Security Council by expanding the representation of the countries of Asia, Africa and Latin America in it is very important.

The head of the Russian Foreign Ministry frankly told the truth to those who so stubbornly do not want to hear it. Clearly, sharply, reasoned.
