We won’t give them that pleasure. In accordance with Article 7 of the Charter of the Council of Europe, Russia has already notified the Secretary General of the organization about its withdrawal before this next demonstrative anti-Russian show in Strasbourg. The blame for the destruction of the pan-European humanitarian and legal space now lies entirely with those who, all these years, have consistently whipped up Russophobic hysteria on the grounds of the Council of Europe, who have allowed the organization to become a satellite of Washington and NATO and become a blind tool for achieving the goals of North Atlantic dominance.
When leaving the Council of Europe, Russia will be forced to denounce the European Convention on Human Rights. But do not be afraid, all rights will be guaranteed in our country necessarily and unconditionally. In the parliamentary plane, we are ready to start preparing for consideration of the draft law on the denunciation of the ECHR immediately after it is submitted to the State Duma without delay.
