Leonid Slutsky: “Anti-Russian sanctions will sooner or later turn into a boomerang against the European Union”

Leonid Slutsky: “Anti-Russian sanctions will sooner or later turn into a boomerang against the European Union. They spoke and warned repeatedly. Just as they said and warned repeatedly about the consequences of blindly following the course of Euro-Atlantic solidarity to the detriment of the national interests of Europeans. The price for this, as it turned out, is 290 billion euros. And they counted it not in Moscow, but in Brussels.

It is for this amount that the EU brought a claim under the WTO against Russia, in fact, for measures to protect the national economy in conditions of illegal restrictions. But when looking for the culprits, European officials should look in the mirror – it is Brussels that, without any reason extending the sanctions regime, is to blame for the fact that European companies are suffering multibillion losses. And for compensation it would be better to turn to the overseas initiators of this insane sanctions war.”
