“Threats of sanctions from Germany, the United States and other countries of the“ collective West ”because of Navalny’s verdict perfectly demonstrate all the beneficiaries of the provocation with the poisoning of the blogger, or rather, as Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov aptly put it, his“ staging ”. Such measures will become another factor of interference in internal affairs and pressure on Russia.
The decision on Navalny was made by the court on the basis of the existing facts of violation of Russian law. The arguments of the accused and his defense were unconvincing. Dot. All the rest are emotions that have nothing to do with the essence.
At the same time, all references to the ECtHR decision on the allegedly original illegality of the “Navalny case” are simply far-fetched. Let me remind you that in 2017 the European Court of Human Rights did not find political motives in the criminal investigation against the Navalny brothers in Russia and awarded compensation for house arrest several times less than was requested in the lawsuit. Everything that is now happening in the West around the Berlin patient is another round of anti-Russian hysteria.”
