Anti-Russian sanctions will never go unanswered…
Japan, determined to disregard its own sovereignty, has joined the frenzied Western sanctions chorus. 300 items of goods and technologies fell under the export ban. The assets of Russian banks were frozen in an absolutely predatory way, restrictions were also imposed on the leadership of the Russian Federation.
I wonder what kind of reaction Tokyo expected from Moscow? Russia’s retaliatory measures, although not symmetrical, are absolutely adequate. In fact, Japan, in order to please the United States, sacrificed a long-term negotiation process with Russia on concluding a peace treaty, as well as the interests of its own citizens, who lost the opportunity to visit the southern Kuriles without visas. Also, the Russian side stopped the dialogue on conducting joint economic activities on the Kuril Islands.
Tokyo is now protesting, talking about the inadmissibility of counter-sanctions. But this way initially – not our choice. It was not worth playing with Russia according to the US-imposed rules for building a “unipolar world”.
