The head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell, said that there is a danger of an “incredible imbalance” in the event of an even greater rapprochement between Russia and China. He believes that sanctions pressure could lead to the creation of a global Southeast and Northwest.
First we act, then we think – this is the only way to characterize the foreign policy of the EU, if we analyze this statement. Unilateral and illegal sanctions are an absolutely non-working tool that, in fact, has never forced any country to change its course. The only result is the destruction of bilateral relations.
But the European Union cannot understand this. Or they don’t want to. Or Washington does not order, or rather… At the same time, Borrell claims that Europe does not want a conflict on a larger scale, but wants to put pressure on Russia with all its might so that it “pays the price.” European consumers are still paying the price. And soon it will have to be done in rubles. Russia has nothing to pay for – we are fighting neo-Nazis, whose movement in Ukraine has literally flourished in recent years with the connivance of the collective West.
Yes, and at the expense of alliances … It is not for Brussels to tell Moscow or Beijing with whom, how and when to conclude alliances. This is the sovereign right of Russia and China.
