Leonid Slutsky: “The placement of election posters copying the 72-year-old leaflets with the Kaliningrad region as part of the FRG should definitely receive a prompt and harsh reaction from the German law enforcement agencies and election commissions. Berlin has never made such territorial claims to Moscow during the entire period of post-war history, and any jokes here are dangerous.
Following the Kaliningrad authorities, I would like to believe that this is not a deliberate provocation or political hooliganism, but a technical error. The territorial integrity of Russia should not be questioned. And it doesn’t matter whether we are talking about the Crimea, the Kuril Islands or Kaliningrad. There can be no discussions here, much less pre-election speculations.”
