Against the background of the real threats that European states are facing today, especially after the rapid flight of the United States from Afghanistan, such a statement speaks either of political myopia, or of attempts to once again shift the focus of attention from the mistakes of the “civilizers” who are still fighting for the hegemony of the collective West. … The endless mantras about the “villainess – Russia” will not help to get away from the impending problems for the common continent – terrorism, the growth of drug trafficking and the migration crisis.
The Minister of Defense of Montenegro, Oliver Inyats, spoke much more adequately. At the same forum, he said that NATO, on the contrary, should maintain a dialogue with Russia, and it is in this, in his opinion, that the potential remains for improving the situation in the sphere of European security. Let me remind you one more point: recently, the media reported that the Alliance Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg also considers it expedient to restore the Russia-NATO format.
There is a confrontation between sanity and ossified Russophobia. Moreover, the so-called Young Europeans, in their anti-Russian blindness, continue to pull back, thereby creating an increase in tension and hindering the solution of problems to overcome common continental challenges and threats. “
