But the most important thing from the conversation on the last night of the outgoing year is Joe Biden’s recognition of the inadmissibility of unleashing a nuclear war, in which there can be no winners, as well as the responsibility of the United States and the Russian Federation for ensuring stability in Europe and the world.
Vladimir Putin has re-identified Russia’s red lines and security contours. Moreover, in response to another promise to impose sanctions against Moscow for the “invasion of Ukraine” invented in the West, the Russian leader directly announced the possibility of a complete break in relations, said Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation Yuri Ushakov. We hope that the American side has heard Russia’s position and clearly understands the gravity of the current situation.
In fact, the parties have partly drawn a line under the further escalation of tensions. Considering the very complicated nature of Russian-American relations, this is already a long way off.
