Leonid Slutsky, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs:
“The accusations of the American side against Russia, Iran and China in attempts to prevent the United States from receiving the vaccine against COVID-19 are unfounded and ridiculous. But such rhetoric is more likely out of annoyance. It is good that they have not yet proposed to impose new sanctions on the Russian Federation for the development of Sputnik V under the pretext of another mythical intervention.
Seriously though, Washington has repeatedly demonstrated unfair competition methods. The pandemic in this regard, unfortunately, was no exception.
Russia is definitely not hindering or hindering anyone. On the contrary, we are ready for the broadest possible cooperation in the fight against coronavirus infection. This is a global challenge.”
